LaQuanda had a great effort in helping the Lady Rams win their 10th straight game; a dominating 100-67 win at Saint Augustine’s College. She scored 16 points with six rebounds in the game.

Rookie of the Week – Notes of Interest:
Freshman Danielle Ferguson scored a career-high 23 points to lead Virginia Union to a 59-48 upset win over Virginia State University on January 26. The win marked the first time the Lady Panthers had defeated VSU in six years.
COACH OF THE WEEK
Barvenia Wooten-Cherry, Virginia Union University
Coach Wooten-Cherry guided VUU to wins over Virginia State and Chowan, and has the Lady Panthers in first place in the Northern Division of the CIAA. Those wins marked the first time a Lady Panther squad had defeated a VSU team in six years, and the first defeat over Chowan in five years.
