Charlotte Bobcats Finally Getting Healthy
By dphifer at February 21, 2012 | 10:22 pm | 0 Comment
So far this season it has been a pretty rough go of it for the Charlotte Bobcats. With injuries, a lack of talent, and a franchise record 16 game losing streak, the Bobcats haven’t had many good things happen to them. But hopefully that is about to change. The Bobcats broke their 16 game losing streak last Friday night with a win in Toronto and even better news is
“Phifer’s Points” Bobcats vs Hawks

This was a game that honestly the Bobcats should of won. Yes the Hawks are a good team but when they are coming off of a deflating triple overtime loss you have to jump on them early and the Bobcats did not do that. I felt like the Bobcats did not push the pace enough in the first half which allowed the Hawks to settle in and lead for most of the game. Derrick Brown
Charlotte Bobcats Fall in Overtime

The Charlotte Bobcats were looking for back to back wins on Friday night and it took overtime and a very odd lineup to find out if they would get it. Head Coach Paul Silas went with a small lineup which included D.J. Augustin and Kemba Walker for all of the fourth quarter and overtime which helped erase a 12 point deficit. Add on Tyrus Thomas, Boris Diaw, and Byron

“Phifer’s Points” Bobcats vs Knicks

• Huge win for the Charlotte Bobcats as they go into Madison Garden and beat one of the Eastern Conference’s better teams. Yes the Knicks are struggling but it was a great performance by the Bobcats. • As I mentioned in the post game article I have covered this team for a few years now and that is about the most efficient offensive night I have seen from them. Any
Charlotte Bobcats Get Big Road Win

Just when you thought the Charlotte Bobcats were playing their worst basketball and had no chance to go into Madison Square Garden and get a win this team throws a curveball right at you. The Bobcats dominated the New York Knicks from start to finish grabbing a 118-110 win and stopping a four game losing streak. It was a balanced team effort but Boris Diaw led the way

This is my all new post called “Phifer’s Points” where I will post some quick comments and observations about what I saw from the last game. • This was a game on the Bobcats schedule that they had a good chance of winning. But the poor performance on defense and giving up uncontested shot allowed the Cavaliers to score at will. Cleveland had 100 points with

The Charlotte Bobcats lost their fourth game in a row on Tuesday when they fell 115-101 to the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was another terrible defensive effort by this Bobcats team who allowed the Cavaliers to shoot 50% from the field and 10-of-21 from three point lead. Number one overall pick Kyrie Irving led the way with 20 points and six assists and Cleveland improved to

It took longer than expected but NBA basketball returned to Time Warner Cable Arena on Monday night. And in front of an energized crowd the Charlotte Bobcats out hustled the Milwaukee Bucks to an opening night win. Five players scored in double figures as the Bobcats beat the Bucks 96-95 to go 1-0 on the young season. It was an ugly first half for this young Bobcats team
Charlotte Bobcats Lose Thriller to Miami Heat
By dphifer at January 1, 2012 | 5:41 pm | 0 Comment
The Charlotte Bobcats welcomed the Miami Heat and the “Big Three” into town on Wednesday night and for most of the game Charlotte was the dominant team. In front of 19,614, the largest crowd for a Bobcats game in franchise history, the Bobcats led for almost the entire game but when it came down to making the big shot Dwyane Wade made sure he got the last laugh. After
