Quips Café is co-owned by Rod Arters & Mike Raymond. They met as soccer teammates, became college roommates and have been best friends for over 20 years. Rod was born in the suburbs of Philadelphia and is the oldest of 4 children. His resume includes serving as a school teacher, professional youth worker, coach (tennis, volleyball, soccer & baseball), youth speaker, writer, web designer & salesman. Known for his sense of humor & servant’s heart, Rod enjoys reading, writing & spending time with his 3 children. Mike was born in Montclaire, NJ but has spent most of his life in Philadelphia and Charlotte. He is married to his beautiful wife Heather and they have 1 child. A successful businessman with endless energy, Mike has served as a professional youth worker, soccer coach & author. He currently runs “Soccer for Tots”, a soccer program for 3 & 4 year olds. He is also the author of “The Day My Soccer Ball Talked”, a children’s book designed to teach kids about the sport of soccer. |
